Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt has been granted joint custody of his children with ex-wife actress Angelina Jolie. The tentative ruling comes after a long legal battle. Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt five years ago the couple has since been engaged in a fierce court battle regarding the custody of their underage children.
The judge’s decision was made after testimony from people who spent time with the kids and by professional evaluators and therapists.
As reported by sources to TMZ, Judge John Ouderkirk made a tentative ruling in the case, awarding Brad and Angelina 50-50 joint legal and physical custody of their 5 minor children. The 5 children are Pax who is 17, 16-year-old Zahara, Shiloh who is 14, and 12-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. However, 19-year-old Maddox is not included in the ruling, as per the laws.
The ruling will help Brad Pitt spend some more hours with his children. He was estranged from all the kids and had ultimately got supervised visitation rights.
But looks like Angelina is not happy with the decision. She had aimed for sole custody of their children and has criticized the judge who is deciding on child custody in her divorce with Brad. In fact, she has no plans of stopping her legal fight.
Angelina and Pitt met on the set of the film Mr & Mrs. Smith in 2005. They married in 2014 but Jolie filed for divorce two years later.
