Veteran actor-writer Kader Khan passed away on January 1. He was buried on Thursday at a cemetery in Canada. It is to be noted that the legendary actor died after a prolonged illness at a hospital in Canada. He was 81.
On Thursday, Bollywood personalities including Lawrence D’Souza, Vimal Kumar, Rajesh Bhatt, Mehul Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, comedian Sunil Pal and many more were present in a condolence meeting to pay their final respects to veteran actor Kader Khan. The prayer meet was held at Shakuntalam Studio in Andheri West.
On the occasion, comedian Sunil Pal eloquently spoke about Kader Khan. He said, “For comedians, Kader Khan wasn’t just a phase or star, he was like a vast sky. My relationship with him was of an audience. I have watched his films since childhood. It didn’t matter to me who the hero was, I watched the films because of Kader Khan.” “Kader Khan was a pillar of comedy; he was the sky of comedy, he never made anyone cry,” he added.

Earlier in the day, Kader Khan’s fans and followers came together to pay their last respect to him at his funeral that was held in Toronto, Canada. Meanwhile, several Bollywood stars also expressed their grief upon losing one of the greatest actors and scriptwriter – Kader Khan.
Born in Kabul, Kader Khan made his acting debut in 1973 with Rajesh Khanna’s Daag and has featured in over 300 films. He has also written dialogues for over 250 movies. Before becoming an actor, he had written dialogues for Randhir Kapoor-Jaya Bachchan’s Jawani Diwani.
As a screenwriter, Khan collaborated with Manmohan Desai and Prakash Mehra. His films with Desai include Dharam Veer, Ganga Jamuna Saraswati, Coolie, Desh Premee, Suhaag, Parvarish and Amar Akbar Anthony and films with Mehra include Jwalamukhi, Sharaabi, Lawaaris and Muqaddar Ka Sikandar.
The actor was known for his versatile roles in Hindi films. He was known for his impeccable comic timing, and his unparalleled work as an actor and a writer in several films.
