Aamir Khan celebrated Maharashtra Day by doing Shramdaan in Koregaon taluka, Satara district. His wife Kiran Rao also accompanied him and thousands of Jalamitras came forward to help Aamir Khan and his non-profitable organisation, Paani Foundation. Aamir shared videos and pictures on his Instagram handle and also wished everyone ‘Happy Maharashtra Day’.

Today to commemorate the day, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Governor C. Vidyasagar Rao were present at the celebration that took place at Shivaji Park, Dadar. On 1 May 1960, Maharashtra and Gujarat states were officially formed.
