The South Korean girl band, BlackPink is known for treating the audience with their pop songs and power-packed stage performances. The girls enjoy a great fan following on their social media handles. However, they also have few haters, who often keep attacking the girls on social media comments sections and spread the hate. This time around, the maknae of the group, Lisa received the death threats and her band responds to the matter.
Earlier, the Thai Embassy from Seoul stated that they have been receiving a lot of messages regarding death threats that BlackPink members, Lisa has been receiving the threats. The embassy took to their official Twitter handle and tweeted stating, “We received a lot of e-mails and Twitter messages on May 2-6 regarding a personal threat posed to Lisa. We informed YG Entertainment, her agency, about the matter.”
As per the report in AllKpop.com, YG Entertainment which mentors the BlackPink members, said, “YG is taking the best measures to ensure the safety and protection of artists and fans. We’re also aware of this issue, and we’ll collect and review evidence through regular monitoring of data as well as reports from fans. We’ll be responding strongly without leniency.”
Currently, BlackPink members are gearing up for their comeback albums. They recently revealed that they are collaborating with Lady Gaga for their next album.
