Black Widow trailer: Scarlett Johansson is all rage as she confronts demons of past

The first trailer for Marvel Studios’ Black Widow featuring Scarlett Johansson is out. The action-packed 2-minute clip puts the Marvel superhero in the spotlight. She is all rage as she confronts demons of past. Black Widow is based on the only female superhero in the old guard of the Avengers.

Black Widow is the highly anticipated stand-alone movie focusing on Natasha Romanoff’s blood-stained past. Natasha was trained as a spy and an assassin with expertise in hand-to-hand combat. At some point, she defected to the United States’ S.H.I.E.L.D and after the Avengers Initiative, became an Avenger.

The story takes place between the two year time period between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War. The trailer is all about Romanoff’s trip to Budapest and contains an impressive scene between Romanoff and a woman named Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh). Belova is referred to as Romanoff’s sister in the trailer.

The trailer also gives a glimpse at supporting characters like Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova, Rachel Weisz’s Melina and David Harbour’s Red Guardian.

Black Widow will release on May 1st, 2020. It marks the beginning of Marvel Studios’ Phase 4. It will be followed by The Eternals that will hit the screens on November 6th.
