Ahead of Telangana Assembly elections, Rahul Gandhi alleged that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), All Indian Majils-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen and Telangana ruling party Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) are hand-in-glove with each other.
It is to be noted that, BJP had earlier accused the grand old party, Congress of being in collusion with the TRS. Taking to Twitter, Rahul Gandhi on Monday wrote; “TRS is the BJP’s “B” team” and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, “operates” as Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Telangana Rubber Stamp”.
Adding on Gandhi called AIMIM is BJP’s “C team” and its role is to split the anti-BJP/KCR vote in the state.
In Telangana Assembly elections, Gandhi’s party will be banking heavily on this anti-BJP/TRS vote, where the fight is primarily between the Congress and the ruling TRS.
Urging people of Telangana not to be fooled, Gandhi said, “Great people of Telangana, Modi, KCR and Owaisi are one. They speak in twisted tongues. Do not be fooled by them.”
Congress president’s latest tweet is just the latest example of an increasingly incoherent political discourse in the state. Every party is busy accusing the other of being hand-in-glove with its rivals.
PM Narendra Modi had recently said that the Congress and the TRS are “two sides of the same coin”. This assembly election fight will primarily be between KCR’s TRS and the Congress. The BJP and the AIMIM will both be looking to increase their presence in the state.
