BJP Leader’s brother was charged for using belittling language against J&K CM Mehbooba Mufti
Lal Singh, former State Minister, led a huge rally on Sunday from Lakhanpur to Hiranagar in Kathua district, to press for probe CBI for the rape and murder of an 8-year-old in January.
A 26-second video shot of Choudhary Rajinder Singh using foul language atop a vehicle during the ‘Dogri Swabhiman’ Rally went viral.
An FIR was lodged against BJP leader Lal Singh’s brother, who was seen using derogatory language in a video against Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.
The FIR was logged under sec 509 gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) Penal Code and Section 66A of the Information Technology Act says, Senior Superintendent of Police, Kathua, Shridhar Patil said.
A group of people were seen enjoying the remarks in the video.
Mufti also tweeted about the incident.
