The Billboard Music Awards are back! This year, the show will air live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, May 23. After a three-year hosting run from Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas will be taking over the role at this year’s event.
The BBMA show will be one of the first to take place live since COVID-19 vaccinations have been available in the United States of America (USA).
Along with Nick, his wife and Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas will be presenting the awards along with her husband to help him with his rib injury and to give him support. This will be the first time, PeeCee will make an appearance as a presenter at the ceremony.
The official Twitter handle of Billboard Music Awards also confirmed the news and wrote: “@priyankachopra is presenting at the #BBMAs !! this sunday at 8ET/5PT on NBC 🎉”

According to a report in Page Six, “Priyanka is coming to LA from working in London to help Nick with his injury and to give him support. They have limited time in LA together, so she wanted to be there to support him.”
Recently, Jonas got hospitalized following a severe road accident in which he cracked his rib while shooting for the NBC project Olympic Dreams Featuring Jonas Brothers alongside his siblings. Post his injury, he resumed the singing reality show, The Voice as the judge, and spoke bout his injuries and revealed that he cracked his rib after taking a spill on a bike and suffered a few other bumps and bruises too.
Nick will also be joining the rest of the Jonas Brothers for a performance at the BBMAs. Other performers include BTS, Doja Cat, SZA, AJR, Bad Bunny and Karol G, DJ Khaled featuring H.E.R. and Migos, Duran Duran, Glass Animals, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis with Sounds Of Blackness featuring Ann Nesby and Twenty One Pilots.
The awards will air at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on NBC.
