After Coolie No 1, Salman Khan's Bigg Boss 13 house goes plastic free
Superstar Salman Khan is all set to host the latest season of Bigg Boss. The promos and the pictures of the show have been setting the social media on fire. Recently, Salman launched the show at a metro station yard in Mumbai. Videos and pictures of the launch soon went viral. During the launch, one interesting fact was revealed by Omung Kumar who has designed the BB house. He said that the BB house has gone entirely plastic-free this year.
Art director Omung Kumar said, “We have tried to do on the other sets also and over here too. We are reducing the use of plastic, we know it is heavy on the pocket, but we are doing our bit. Plastic and thermocol were easier, simpler, lighter and cheaper but as Indian citizens, we need to think about the larger picture. We used POP and fibre, which is long-lasting. We have tried to reduce the use of plastic as much as we could. This is done basically to reduce pollution. We have used more fibre and different plaster of Paris (POP). We are not just disposing off and throwing stuff. So, we are changing ourselves and hope people will follow us.“
This year there are many changes in the Bigg Boss house. Unlike last year there will be no commoners only celebrity contestants who will be part of the show. The venue for the house too has shifted from Lonavla to Mumbai. The sets are bigger and spread across an area of 18,500 sq ft. The theme is museum and pictures of the house is already viral.
Bigg Boss 13 is all set to premiere on September 29, 2019.
On the work front, Salman Khan is busy with the shoot of Dabangg 3. The movie also features Sonakshi Sinha and Arbaaz Khan and will hit the screens on December 20, 2019.
