Bigg Boss 12: Anup Jalota denies dating Jasleen Matharu, says makers scripted affair

Devotional singer Anup Jalota has denied dating Jasleen Matharu. After his eviction from the show, the singer stated that him and Jasleen share a musical relationship and there is no kind of love brewing between them. He stated that he is her teacher and she is his student. He clarified that they are not in a romantic relationship. In fact, he now says that he was ‘shocked’ when Jasleen, on the stage of Bigg Boss 12, talked about the two of them being in a romantic relationship.
He told Times Now Hindi, “Soon after Jasleen was offered this show, she contacted me. She asked me if I could be her partner on the show. I told her, ‘No, I don’t have that much time. I am always very busy.’ Then Jasleen’s father (Kesar Matharu) insisted that I go with his daughter. When he requested me twice or thrice, I complied. It was decided that we would enter the show as Guru-Shishya (teacher-student). Six days before Bigg Boss 12, Jasleen was picked up by the makers from her house, post which she lost contact with everyone.”
In an interview with another news portal, Anup Jalota blamed the makers of Bigg Boss 12 of scripting their relationship. He added, “Salman met me and asked me, ‘Aapke saath bhi koi aaya hai?’ I told him that I have Jasleen with me, who is my student. When she came on stage, she said that she and I were in a relationship, which left me absolutely shocked. Upon entering the house, I stressed upon the fact that she was my student. Whenever questions on our relationship popped up, I always said that we were good friends. However, at no point during the show, we held each other’s hands.”

Anup also claimed that Jasleen’s father was angry because even he had no clue about the relationship angle. “I am guessing that during those six days that Jasleen spent with the makers, she would have been told that she will have to introduce the ‘relationship’ angle. Everyone in my family was surprised when the premiere episode went on air because they had not even seen Jasleen,” he said.
