As per the law in South Korea, all physically fit men between the ages of 18 to 28 are required to compulsory enroll in the nation’s military services. Kpop sensation, BTS which is known for ruling the music charts has been making headlines over their military enlistment plans. Fans started talking about the band’s military enlistment plans after Jin, the eldest from the group turned 28-year-old. According to Korean media outlets, one of the financial analysts predicted that the seven members will get enlisted together next year. Reacting to these reports, Big Hit Music label has officially issued its statement.
As per a report by Koreaboo, a financial analyst from Leading Investment and Securities has predicted that BTS members will enlist in the military together by mid-2022. The outlet has also posted a quote by Yoo Seong Man, it said, “I expect that the BTS members will enlist together by mid-2022. Because of pre-production of content such as an album prior to their enlistment, there will only be roughly a one-year gap [with no BTS content]. BTS is at the world-star level similar to Michael Jackson or The Beatles, so they can continue to generate hits and profit even after serving in the military.”
In another report, the outlet has published an official statement by which is issued by the Big Hit Music label in reaction to the reports of BTS enlisting in military services next year. The statement read, “We have nothing further to say about their military enlistment besides what our artist has already said. We ask for your understanding.”
For the unversed, Jin had earlier revealed to the ARMY’s that as a young South Korean citizen, military service is a natural thing to do. He stated that if the nation calls him to do his military service then he won’t refrain from doing it whenever the maybe.
