Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s Tapu aka Bhavya Gandhi’s father Vinod recently passed away due to complications after testing positive for Coronavirus. His mother, Yashoda now reveals that they had to pay Rs. 1 lakh to get the vaccine which usually costs Rs 45,000.
Days after the unfortunate demise of her husband Vinod Gandhi, Yashoda opened up about all that they went through to get him treated well at the hospital amidst the pandemic. While talking to SpotboyE.com, Yashoda informed that they were able to find a bed with the help of Bhavya’s manager. But he had to be shifted to another hospital for an ICU bed. Yashoda stated that they felt helpless as they weren’t able to find an ICU bed at first, however, somehow they managed to get a bed at a small hospital in Goregaon.
Further explaining how they had to pay an extra amount for the ‘Toxin’ injection. Yashoda informed the portal, “I feel so bad to tell you jo injection hamare India mein banti hai vo mujhe poore India mein nahi mili(It feels so bad to tell you that the vaccines which are made in India, she couldn’t find it across the nation). I had to get it imported from Dubai and that to using source and paying 1 lakh for a 45k injection.”
She also revealed that her son, Bhavya had been looking after the arrangements all alone because many people in the family had already contracted the virus. They had to struggle in finding the vaccines. The doctor had asked them to arrange Remdesvir injection and they “paid the cost of 8 injections for 6 injections.”
Bhavya’s father was in the hospital for apparently around 15 days and he breathed his last on the hospital bed.
