Salman Khan — who is known for delivering several hit movies — delivered yet another blockbuster movie on Eid 2019. Yes, Salman Khan’s Bharat which was made on a budget of Rs 100 crore has reportedly earned more than Rs 325 crores globally.
Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Bharat features Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in lead roles. The film received rave reviews from both critics and audience alike. There are reports doing the rounds that Salman Khan’s Bharat has not crossed Rs 200 crore at the Indian box office window.
These reports were false as Bharat crossed the Rs 200 mark at the ticket window on its second week. A popular trade analyst took to Twitter and announced the box office collection of Bharat. You can check out his tweet below:
Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s Bharat turned out to be the third highest-grossing film of the year. The film Bharat released on June 5 (Eid 2019) and earned Rs 42.30 crore on its first day, becoming Salman Khan’s biggest opening day release. Bharat became the 3rd highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2019 in its opening week.
The box office collection of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s Bharat was affected by Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani’s Kabir Singh. Salman Khan’s Bharat is clearly a hit but it has not reached the heights that his earlier films such as Bajrangi Bhaijan and Tiger Zinda Hai reached.
According to reports, Bharat has minted ₹251.27 crore in India and ₹63.41 crore overseas. The film has a worldwide gross collection of ₹325 crore. That number will surely go higher as the film is still running well in theatres.
The movie tells the journey of a common man and a nation together. It also stars Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff, Tabu, Aasif Sheikh, Sunil Grover, and Sonali Kulkarni among others in pivotal roles.
