‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ star Bhagyashree’s husband Himalaya Dasani arrested

‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ fame actress Bhagyashree‘s husband Himalaya Dasani was recently arrested for allegedly being involved in a gambling racket. 15 other people have been arrested and Dasani’s name came out when the police conducted raids a few days back. Himalaya Dasani, who is an actor-turned-film producer, was arrested from his residence on Tuesday.

As reported by a source to News 18, “Amboli Police had recently busted a gambling racket, in which Dasani’s involvement had come to light as his name cropped up during the interrogation of arrested accused,”

According to a tweet posted by ANI, Himalaya Dasani has been granted bail.

Bhagyashree who had marked her Bollywood debut in Maine Pyar Kiya had quit films to marry Himalaya Dasani. In 1992, he had made his Bollywood debut with the film Payal opposite his wife and later went on to become a businessman. Recently, their son Abhimanyu Dasani made his debut in the Hindi film industry with the action comedy Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, alongside Radhika Madan. In the movie he plays the role of a young boy who doesn’t feel physical pain of any kind.

Also starring Mahesh Manjrekar, Gulshan Devaiah and Radhika Madan in important roles, the opened at the 20th Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival to rave reviews and rousing applause.
