Summer is here and who does not like to sport some amazing shorts and bikini’s to keep the heat at bay. But we all are not blessed with slim and toned legs. Many of us are suffering from the Bane of Thunder Thighs and looking out for a way to lose all that fat and grab some eyeballs with toned legs.
What are the reasons for fat accumulation on the thighs? Well, there can be many it can be due to hormonal imbalance, improper diet, genes, lack of activity, pregnancy or a combination of all. To stop the accumulation of fats you should restrict your salt intake, drink at least three litres of water. Exercise on an incline, eat small meals over the course of the day, avoid carbs and exercise.

Best exercises to lose thigh fat quickly:
1. Leg Up Exercise:
Lie down on the floor facing the ceiling. Keep your palms on the side facing the floor and relax. Lift both the legs at about a 30-degree angle from the ground. Hold for about five seconds. Slowly bring the legs down to the floor. Repeat this 10 times.
2. Leg Stretch:
Leg Stretch will ensure proper blood circulation and you should do this at three sets of 10 each. Just sit upright with your legs joined and stretched in front of you. Slowly move them apart and next breathe in as you bend to touch the right toes and try to touch your head to your knee. Hold the position for five seconds. Slowly lift your head up and bring your hands to each side of your pelvis. Breathe out while doing so. Do this for the left side.
3. Brisk Walking:
Walking is the best source of losing fat from your body and also tone your legs. Brisk walking will help you improve your metabolic rate and even trick your body into using stored fat for energy. Walking tones your calves, quads and hamstrings and lifts the glutes.
4. Air Cycling:
Another easy way to lose fat from your thighs is air cycling. It also takes care of your pelvis and knee joints.Lie on your back and face the ceiling. Lift your legs up to 90 degrees. Start moving your legs as if you are cycling in the forward direction. Do this for 1 minute and then slowly put down your legs and relax. Start once again to repeat the set 5 times.
5. Lunges:
Lunges help shed a few extra pounds from your buttocks as well. Stand straight with your feet about 3 centimeters apart. Hold light weights. Step forward with your right leg and bend your left leg to come to a “proposing” position. Repeat the same with the left leg and do this set 10 times.
6. Scissor Kick:
This will tone your thighs and buttock muscles. Lie straight on the mat, hold up your head by placing the palms of your hand behind your head. Lift your leg slowly and keep both the legs straight. Now, vertically move them apart, bring them together. Do this 15 times with each leg.
7. Squats:
This exercise is very effective to tone your thighs and butt. Do this after losing all the fat from your thighs. This exercise will help you build muscles. Stand with your shoulders relaxed and your legs apart. Keep your upper body straight, inhale and slowly lower your buttocks till you come to a sitting position. Hold for about 5-10 seconds. Do this at least ten times.
You can also include some cardio in your daily routine. Half an hour of cardio five days a week will help you lose fat from your body. Along with Cardio, you can also do running, swimming and Aerobic exercises too. All these will effectively help you tone your legs.
