BCCI announces schedule for VIVO IPL 2021, finals at Narendra Modi Stadium
The IPL Governing Council on Sunday announced the schedule for VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 to be held in India. The upcoming season will commence on April 9 and the final would be played on May 30. The IPL extravaganza will be hosted by Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai & Kolkata after a gap of two years. The last IPL was held in UAE due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The season will kickstart on 9th April 2021 in Chennai with a high octane clash between defending champions Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore. The World’s Largest Cricket Stadium – Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will host the final on 30th May 2021

Indian Premier League Chairman Brijesh Patel has confirmed that VIVO will continue as title sponsor of the IPL 2021.
Date:
The upcoming season will commence on April 9 and the final would be played on May 30. Each team will play at four venues during the league stage. Out of the 56 league matches, Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata & Bengaluru will host 10 matches each. Ahmedabad and Delhi will host 8 matches each.
Time:
There will be a total of 11 doubleheaders. 6 teams will play three-afternoon matches. Two teams will play two-afternoon matches. The afternoon games are slated for 3:30 PM IST. The evening games will have a 7:30 PM IST.
Venues:
Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai & Kolkata
Which TV channels will IPL 2021 broadcast?
IPL 2021 will be telecast on the Star Sports Network. The games will be broadcast in multiple languages and on multiple network channels.
