Barack Obama names Prateek Kuhad’s Cold/Mess in his ‘Favourite Music 2019’ list

As the year 2019 comes to an end, the former US President Barack Obama shared the annual list of his favorites, and after books and web shows and movies, he recently took to sharing his favorite list of music which included the song Cold/Mess by Indian musician Prateek Kuhad. Yes, you read it right.

Sharing the list on Twitter, the former President wrote, “From hip-hop to country to The Boss, here are my songs of the year. If you’re looking for something to keep you company on a long drive or help you turn up a workout, I hope there’s a track or two in here that does the trick.”

After the list, cold/mess singer immediately reposted Obama’s list on Twitter and wrote, “This just happened and I don’t think I’ll sleep tonight. Totally flipping out. I have no idea how cold/mess even reached him but thank you @barackobama, thank you universe ? I didn’t think 2019 could’ve gotten better, but damn was I wrong. What an honour.”

Apart from Prateek Kuhad’s cold/mess, the list also includes tracks like Beyonce’s Mood 4 Eva, Alicia Keys’ Show Me Love, and others.

Prateek Kuhad gained popularity and fame for his music with ‘cold/mess’ which went viral after its release in 2019 and has moved from playing single-stage music at indie concerts like Weekender to hosting his own full-fledged worldwide concert tours. Cold/Mess is a love song, composed and sung by Kuhad and features actors Jim Sarbh and Zoya Hussain in the video.
