Bangladesh banished on a scant 43 runs in 1st innings of the first test match against West Indies at Antigua. This was Bangladesh’s lowest total ever beating their previous lowest of 62 against Sri Lanka at Colombo in the year 2007. It was a nightmare for the sub continent side as they were totally outplayed by the hosts.
Kemar Roach displayed an astonishing performance by taking a five wicket haul and was well supported by Miguel Cummins as he picked three wickets in the four overs that he bowled. Captain Jason Holder also joined the party picking up two wickets that finished off the miserable batting performance of the visitors.
This was the lowest innings total by any team in the 21st century. The previous lowest total was made by New Zealand in South Africa when they were dismissed to a paltry 45 runs.

The day totally belonged to Kemar Roach who returned to the side after suffering from a knee injury. He picked Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan and Mahmudullah in the space of four deliveries. In other words he needed just four balls to break the backbone of the visitors. Shanon Gabriel couldn’t get a wicket but he did his part by putting batsman under immense pressure early in the game.
