Balika Vadhu to be re-telecasted on television amid Covid-19 lockdown
Colors tv is all set to telecast the hit show 'Balika Vadhu' amidst coronavirus lockdown.
As the shooting of movies and TV shows are stopped owing to Coronavirus outbreak, TV channels have started airing old shows to keep people entertained during the nationwide lockdown which was set to be for 21 days but has been extended till April 30, 2020. Now, the hit show, ‘Balika Vadhu’ has returned to television from today onwards.
Avika Gor took to her Instagram account to make this announcement and also shared a video of herself singing the title track on her Instagram feed. The actress also declared that she will be going live on Instagram and will be watching the show with her fans along with a question and answer session.

For the unversed, Avika Gor made her television debut with ‘Balika Vadhu’ and gained immense popularity with the show. Talking about the same, the story is set in rural Rajasthan which revolves around the life of a child bride from childhood to womanhood. The first season centered on Anandi and Jagdish, who were coupled in childhood. The second season follows the lives of Anandi’s daughter Dr. Nandini who was also a child bride.
Balika Vadhu cast also includes Surekha Sikri, Annup Sonii, Smita Bansal, and ‘Bigg Boss 13’ winner Sidharth Shukla in the pivotal roles.
