Atrangi Re: Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan & Dhanush to Resume Shoot in October

Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan, and Dhanush are coming together for Atrangi Re. The Aanand L Rai directorial had gone on floors earlier this year in Varanasi. But due to the COVID-19 lockdown, the makers had to halt the shoot. Good news for fans as the makers are all set to resume shoot from October in Madurai.

Aanand L Rai shared, “During this lockdown, I’ve taken out a lot of time to prepare for the upcoming schedules of ‘Atrangi Re’. I’m really excited to start the next schedule, which is planned to happen in Madurai, October onwards, and then with Akshay for a month in Delhi and Mumbai, with all safety precautions in place, of course.”

As reported by sources to Indian Express, The upcoming schedule will last for three months and will be shot in three different locations. The first will be Madurai in October, followed by Delhi and Mumbai. The Delhi and Mumbai schedule with Akshay Kumar will be extensive and go on for more than a month.

Directed by Aanand L Rai, Atrangi Re will be presented by T-Series, Colour Yellow Productions, and Cape of Good Films. The film’s music will be composed by AR Rahman. Written by Himanshu Sharma, Atrangi Re is slated to open in 2021.

On the work front, Akshay Kumar also has ‘Bell Bottom’, ‘Laxxmi Bomb’, and ‘Sooryavanshi’ in his kitty. Laxxmi Bomb is all set for a digital release. ‘Sooryavanshi’ will have a theatrical opening.
