A day before the Telangana Assembly elections results are declared, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi met Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today.
The MIM president went to Pragathi Bhavan, the official residence-cum-camp office of the Telangana chief minister, at around 1.30 pm, driving his motor-bike and held discussions with KCR for more than two hours.
Earlier in the day, Owaisi said that Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) to form the next government in the state on its own strength and he will stand by TRS chief KCR.
Taking to Twitter, Owaisi announced that he will meet KCR today, and called his meeting the first step towards a larger goal of nation-building.
It is to be noted that AIMIM contested eight seats in the recently concluded assembly elections as against the seven in 2014 polls, and supported the TRS.
The results of Telangana Assembly elections will be declared tomorrow. Asaduddin Owaisi has previously organised public meetings in support of TRS in the run-up to the December 7 Assembly elections.
