Article 15: Police try to stop screening of Ayushmann Khurrana starrer- watch video

Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Article 15 got embroiled in controversy much before its release and now even after the release, the movie is facing troubles. Filmmaker Anubhav Sinha who has produced and directed the movie took to his Twitter handle to share a link of a Facebook video where we see police trying to stop the screening of Article 15 in one of the theatres. The audience is angry and one of the viewers is heard yelling, “Nobody will move out of the hall. Everyone will stand up for it.”

Earlier, before the release of Article 15, Karni Sena and Brahmin Maha Sangh, issued a warning to Anubhav Sinha for causing “communal disharmony” through the movie and post that the filmmaker even released an open letter. But later it got a nod from the Antarrashtriya Brahmin Mahasangh apparently for the smooth release of the movie.

The movie had hit the screens on June 28 and it opened with a decent number at the box office. On Day 1, it pocketed Rs 5.02 crore.
Article 15 has a hard-hitting content that emphasizes on the atrocities and menaces of the society. Ayushmann is seen in the role of an IPS officer. It also has Isha Talwar, M Nassar, Manoj Pahwa, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub in pivotal roles.
