Ayushmann Khurrana’s Article 15 has created a lot of buzz much before its release and after its release on June 28, the movie has got a positive response from the critics and audiences alike for its thought-provoking content. On Day 1, the movie pocketed Rs 5.02 crore at the box office.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter handle to share the Day 1 box office collection of Article 15. Sharing the number, he also wrote that the movie “should witness an upward trend/substantial growth on Day 2.”

Article 15 is the second highest opener in Ayushmann Khurrana’s career after Andhadhun. Directed by Anubhav Sinha, it has a hard-hitting content that emphasizes on the atrocities and menaces of the society. Ayushmann is seen in the role of an IPS officer with a realistic portrayal of his character.
The movie is about Article 15 of the Indian Constitution that is about the prohibition of discrimination by the state against any citizen on the basis of religion, race, caste, sex and place of birth.
Produced by Anubhav Sinha and distributed by Zee Studios, the film also stars Isha Talwar, M Nassar, Manoj Pahwa, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub in pivotal roles.
