Bollywood actor Armaan Kohli, who was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Saturday, has been sent to NCB custody till September 1. The NCB had raided the actor’s residence in Andheri and conducted a house search based on information that he was possessing drugs.
He was booked under Sections 21(a), 27(a), 28, 29, 30, and 35 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
“After the raid, actor Armaan Kohli gave ambiguous answers to questions put up by NCB. He was then taken to custody for questioning at the NCB office,” said NCB Zonal Director (Mumbai) Sameer Wankhede.
Kohli’s name cropped up when the NCB officials were questioning Ajay Raju Singh, a major drug peddler arrested by them on Saturday morning. Reportedly, a small amount of cocaine was recovered from Kohli’s apartment in Andheri.
Based on the lead taken from actor Armaan Kohli’s arrest the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is conducting raids at five places in Mumbai and Nallasopara. “Maharashtra: NCB is conducting raids at 5 places in Mumbai city & Nallasopara based on the lead it extracted following the arrest of actor Armaan Kohli. The agency has arrested two foreign drug peddlers & recovered drugs,” tweeted news agency ANI.
