Arjun Tendulkar claims his first International wicket playing for India U-19 side against Sri Lanka U-19 at Colombo. Sri Lanka bundled out for 244 runs. In reply, India finished the day on an impressive 92/1.
Arjun Tendulkar began his journey with an early impact as he dismissed the opposition opener Kamil Mishara for just nine runs. The left hander hit master blaster’s son for two boundaries before the tall left arm pacer eventually got the better of him.

From there on other bowlers Harish Tyagi and Ayush Badani took four wickets each to restrict the home side to a mere 244 runs. Sachin Tendulkar’s son finished his first spell 5-1-18-1 and came back for another six overs finishing on 11-2-33-1.
Vinod Kambli, who is a close friend of his father Sachin Tendulkar, took to Twitter to praise the youngster on his debut wicket and wrote – “Tears of joy rolled down when I saw this, have seen him grow up and put in the hard work in his game. Could not be more happy for you, Arjun. This is just the beginning, I wish you tons and ton of success in the days to come. Cherish your first wicket and enjoy the moment.”
