Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy completed three years since release in 2017. The movie featured the young and happening star Vijay Devarakonda and Shalini Pandey. It left viewers divided over its portrayal of toxic masculinity. But went on to be one of the most loved films among the Millenials.
On the occasion of Arjun Reddy’s third anniversary, Sandeep Reddy Vanga who helmed the cult classic had a surprise for fans. During an interview with a popular YouTube channel, Vanga revealed his plans to re-release Arjun Reddy. The new version will have all the deleted scenes.
Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga said, “We had edited footage of 4 hours 20-minute duration of Arjun Reddy. It was later trimmed down to 3 hours 45 minutes. But later it was shortened to 3 hours 6 minutes for the theatrical release.”
Kabir Singh fame director added, “The film Arjun Reddy would have been a much bigger hit had we released the 3 hours 45-minute version.”
But fans have a long wait to watch the extended version. According to Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Arjun Reddy will be released with 3:45 hours version on its 5th anniversary on 25th August 2022.
