Bollywood actor, Arjun Rampal was summoned by the Narcotic Control Bureau in drug nexus probe, which is apparently linked with Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. The actor had reported for the interrogation session alongside his girlfriend, Gabriella Demetriades after the latter’s brother got arrested. The star was apparently grilled on Monday for the second and as per the latest reports investigating officials have not given him clean chit in the probe.
Reportedly, when the NCB officials raided the actor’s Mumbai house, they procured few medicines, which come under NDPS Act and those medicines are banned for casual consumptions. However, the actor was said to have submitted few valid prescription for the tablets which were found from his house. As per the latest media reports, NCB official Sameer Wankhede( Zonal Director) has confirmed that the investigation is still going on and the actor has not been given a clean chit as of yet. While talking about the case, he informed Times of India that, “The investigation is on in Arjun Rampal case we have not given him a clean chit. We have found a discrepancy in the statements given to us and therefore examining it. And if the need arises we will call him again.”
A report by India Today says that if the submitted prescription is forged or comes out to be fake, then Arjun will be arrested as the medicine found at his place is a scheduled drug under the NDPS Act.
For the unversed, the NCB officials had also summoned Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa for the second time.
