Music Maestro AR Rahman has lost his mother Kareema Begum on December 28. The Mozart of Madras’ mother breather her last in Chennai due to age-old ailments. The Grammy and Oscar winner took to social media and posted a picture of his mother confirmed the news.
Kareena Begum was married to musician RK Shekar who had given music for 23 Malayalam movies and 127 songs. Rahman has time and again said that he is quite close to his mother. AR Rahman’s father had passed away when he was only nine years old. It was his mother who was instrumental in developing a love for music in AR Rahman.
