At a recently held event, Apple Inc declared that on September 12, the company will unveil its new iPhone model at the Steve Jobs Theatre in the company’s Cupertino, California, campus.
Going by the report, Apple would be launching three new smartphones this year, including one that would have a bigger display than its predecessors. Apple Inc might also launch an iPhone with an edge-to-edge display, which would be similar to the current iPhone X but with less expensive LCD screen technology. Thus, bringing down the price further.
In Apple’s event invitation, they have used gold colour extensively. Thus, creating a curiosity and rumour on social media platforms that the company is about to launch a gold coloured iPhone as a successor of iPhone X, which was earlier available in grey and silver colour only.
Earlier this year, in the documents filed at the US Federal Communications Commission revealed that Apple had sought approval for a gold version of its iPhone X but the company so far hasn’t released the colour.
For years together, Apple has launched its new phone models in the second week of September and usually begins selling the newly launched iPhone models few weeks later. This strategy is adopted keeping in the mind the upcoming holiday shopping season, which wold in turn help boost their sales.
Investor Guru Warren Buffet said to CNBC, “The iPhone is “enormously under priced” even when it costs $1,000, given how indispensable it has become for so many people.”
