The IPL matches 2021 have been officially suspended after few players and the staff members tested positive for Coronavirus. All the payers from their respected teams have apparently come back to their home. Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, who recently came back home (Mumbai) already started deploying their resources for the COVID-19 aid. On her Birthday, Anushka had promised fans of doing the charity work to be a helping hand amidst the pandemic. Now the couple announces the fundraiser which aims to help people dealing with pandemic crises.
India is currently dealing with the second wave of the pandemic, which has recorded the highest ever surge in COVID-19 cases with more than 4.14 lakh single-day tally. Anushka and Virat, both took to their social media handles and shared a video of themselves which has a strong message for the fans. The couple is heard urging netizens to make a contribution in their capabilities to help the needy in these tough situations.

On Thursday, Virat Kohli was seen meeting Yuva Sena member, Rahul Kanal. Both of them apparently discussed the execution of the movement for COVID-19 relief.
For the unversed, India reported 4,14,188 fresh COVID-19 cases, 3,31,507 discharges and 3,915 deaths in the span of 24 hours, according to the data issued by the Union Health Ministry.
