Since a couple of days, news have been flashing that stated that #MeToo accused Anu Malik will return as the judge of Indian Idol 11. Now as per a report in Deccan Chronicle, the music composer has been banned from entering the premises of Yash Raj studio. The studio has a stringent policy to stand against the people accused of sexual harassment. YRF had earlier sacked their senior executive, Ashish Patil who was accused of sexual misconduct. Till now, the reports of him returning as the judge of the reality show has yet not been confirmed.
Last year singers like Shweta Pandit, Alisha Chinai and Sona Mohapatra accused Mr. Malik of being a sexual predator. Shweta Pandit opening about her ordeal said that he had allegedly asked her for a kiss in exchange for work when she was just 17-year-old.
Anu Malik denied all the allegations against him and his lawyer Zulfiquar Memon earlier told IANS in a statement, “The allegations made against my client are emphatically denied as completely false and baseless. My client respects the #MeToo movement but to use this movement to start a character assassination mission is obnoxious.”
Post the allegations we could see the music composer attending weddings and other events and there were no signs of regret on his face. Not one, but multiple women accused him but till now nothing has been proved and everything seems to be brushed under the carpet.
