On Thursday, Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty took to her social media to write to the Union Home Minister Amit Shah seeking a Central Bureau Investigation (CBI) probe into the late actor’s suicide. Now, Maharashtra’s Home Minister Anil Deshmukh stated that CBI inquiry is not needed.
Talking to Mid-Day, he said, “I have the tweets and the campaign. But I don’t think that a CBI probe is required. The Mumbai Police is competent enough to handle such cases and they are investigating every aspect of the case including professional rivalry. As of now, we do not see any foul play. Details of the investigation will be shared once it is completed.”
Rhea, in her tweet said, “Respected @AmitShah sir ,
I’m sushants Singh Rajputs girlfriend Rhea chakraborty,it is now over a month since his sudden demise
I have complete faith in the government, however in the interest of justice , I request you with folded hands to initiate a CBI enquiry..part 1 ..”
In another tweet, she tweeted, “Part 2.. I request you with folded hands to initiate a CBI enquiry into this matter . I only want to understand what pressures , prompted Sushant to take this step.

Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14, To date, Mumbai Police has questioned a total of 30 people in the case, including family, rumored girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, Shanoo Sharma, Mukesh Chhabra, director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and more.
The late actor’s mortal remains were cremated at the Pawan Hans crematorium in Mumbai and his ashes were immersed by his family in the Ganga river.
