Aayushmaan Khurrana and Tabu starrer ‘Andhadhun’ set to release in China as 'Piano Player'
Ayushmann Khurrana, Radhika Apte and Tabu starrer ‘Andhadhun’ is all set to release in China. However, the film’s title has been changed to ‘Piano Player’. It is to be noted that Sriram Raghavan’s crime thriller became one of the most successful films of the year 2018 in India, both critically and commercially.
Viacom18 Studios, along with Eros International, has partnered with Tang Media Partners to release ‘Andhadhun’ in China. The news was announced by noted trade analyst and critic Taran Adarsh recently. Importantly, it is the first Indian thriller to release in China.

‘Andhadhun’ was released on October 5 last year, is inspired from the 2010 French short film ‘L’Accordeur’ (The Piano Tuner). It earned close to Rs 75 crores at the Indian box office. The film also stars Zakir Hussain and Anil Dhawan in other pivotal roles.
China is one of the world’s biggest box office centres. The demand for Indian films has witnessed a comprehensive growth in China in the last three years. Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan are some of the most popular stars in China. Many Indian films like ‘Dangal’, ‘PK’, ‘Secret Superstar’, ‘Hichki’, ‘Sultan’ and others have received an overwhelming response in China.
