James Anderson regains top spot in the current ICC Test bowler rankings that were released on Tuesday by International Cricket Council. The England speedster surpassed South Africa’s fast bowler Kagiso Rabada to clinch the top position.

India’s street smart off spinner Ravindra Jadeja is at number three position in the ICC Test bowler rankings where as Ravichandran Ashwin is placed on fifth position in the ladder. The uncanny and deceiving South African Vernon Philander holds the fourth position.
South Africa lost the series against Sri Lanka but Keshav Maharaj had something to cheer about. His 12 wicket-haul in the second Test helped him progress five places ahead in the rankings on 18th spot. On the other hand the veteran Sri Lankan off spinner clinches the eighth position with his accurate bowling.
James Anderson would be immensely satisfied and happy to know about his rankings as it will boost his confidence even more before facing the top Test side in the world.
The Team rankings remain intact as India continues to dominate with 125 points at top of the ladder. South Africa is second with 106 points. Australia and New Zealand are third and fourth respectively while England who will face India in the upcoming five match series are on the fifth position.
