Ananya Panday’s sister Rysa Panday has made her directorial debut with a short film titled Daud. The film revolves around Mira who belongs to a poor family and sells pencils for a living. One day she meets a girl and her two friends and ends up racing them. She wins the race, impressing the girls in the process. They help Mira fulfil her dreams and she goes on to win a medal. The film preaches the message of friendship and the magic of helping each other.
Rysa Panday is not the only starkid associated with Daud. Karishma Kapoor’s daughter Samira Kapur can be seen in a supportive role in the movie. However, this is not the starkid’s debut. Samira has earlier worked in short film Be Happy in the year 2015. The film was featured at the International Children’s Film Festival of India in 2015 in the ‘Little Directors’ category.
In addition, Sanjay Kapoor’s son Jahaan Kapoor was also seen in the short film. The character of Mira, who is the main lead of the film, is played by Aarti. The third friend was played by Dhaniti Parekh. Producer Ritesh Sidhwani’s son Nirvaan Sidhwani is the assistant director on the project.

Rysa Panday recently turned 16. Her elder sister Ananya made her acting debut last year with Student of the Year 2. She swept off major debut awards for her performance in the film alongside Tiger Shroff.
