Amy Schumer Changes Her Son’s Name Due To THIS Hilarious Reason
The couple had named their son after close friend Dave Attell.
Amy Schumer has legally changed the name of her son and the reason behind it is pretty hilarious. The comedian shared the news during her “Amy Schumer Presents: 3 Girls, 1 Keith” that she has changed his son’s name. The couple had named their son after Chris Fischer’s close friend Dave Attell.
However, Amy Schumer and Chris Fischer have decided to change their son’s name as it sounds rather inappropriate when said out loud.
“Do you guys know that Gene, our baby’s name is officially changed?” Schumer asked her listeners on her podcast. “It’s now Gene David Fischer. It was Gene Attell Fischer, but we realized that we, by accident, named our son ‘Genital.’”
She also stated that Dave Attell was fine with the change. David is Amy’s father’s name as well as Attell’s first name.
“So, two stones,” Schumer glibly said.
Amy Schumer married Chris Fischer in February 2018, only days after making their relationship official on social media. Schumer was pregnant with her first baby eight months later. However, she struggled through the pregnancy and had to cancel several tour dates due to health reasons.
Moreover, the actor also revealed that she had undergone in vitro fertilization for their second child.
“I’m a week into IVF and feeling really run down and emotional,” Schumer shared on her Instagram. “If anyone went through it and if you have any advice or wouldn’t mind sharing your experience with me please do. We are freezing my eggs and figuring out what to do to give Gene a sibling.”
