Dairy brand Amul paid a heartfelt tribute to veteran actress Surekha Sikri
Veteran actor Surekha Sikri passed away due to cardiac arrest. The 75-year-old breathed her last in Mumbai on Friday (July 16). The three-time National Award winner left a void in Bollywood and Television industry. Tributes for the actress known for her acting prowess poured in from all the quarters. Diary brand Amul too joined in to pay homage to the acting legend.
Amul paid a heartfelt tribute to veteran actress Surekha Sikri on social media. Sharing a graphic they captioned it, “Tribute to three-time National Film Award-winning actress Surekha Sikri.”
“Har role mein Badhaai mili,” reads the caption on the graphic of Amul’s post.

The black and white graphic features animated sketches of iconic characters that Surekha Sikri played on screen. From her role as Dadisaa in the television series Balika Vadhu to that of Durga Devi Kaushik in the 2018 hit film Badhaai Ho.
Surekha Sikri was in Uttar Pradesh, she graduated from the National School of Drama (NSD) in 1971. She had marked her debut with the 1978 political drama Kissa Kursi Ka. Sikri received the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for Tamas (1988), Mammo (1995) and Badhaai Ho (2018).
Surekha Sikri was seen in Banegi Apni Baat, Balika Vadhu, Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil and Saat Phere – Saloni Ka Safar. She also appeared in the films Sheer Qorma. Surekha Sikri was last seen in Netflix anthology Ghost Stories.
