Is Amitabh Bachchan a part of ‘Kanchana’ Hindi Remake starring Akshay Kumar?
Kanchana Hindi Remake: Amitabh Bachchan to play a pivotal role in Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani starrer.
Raghava Lawrence of ‘Kanchana’ fame is all set to make the hit Tamil film in Hindi as ‘Laaxmi Bomb’. The director has roped in Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani to play the leading roles. Now there is a new rumour resounding in Bollywood circles that megastar Amitabh Bachchan too has been roped in to play a pivotal role in the supernatural drama.
According to a report in India Today, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan might be seen in an important role as a transgender. In the original Tamil version, Sarathkumar played the role of a transgender named Kanchana. However, no official confirmation regarding Big B’s role has been made yet.
The makers of the film have already kick-started the shooting of the film with the lead actor Akshay Kumar while Kiara Advani has now joined the team. She also shared a picture on her social media handle informing fans all about it.

In the said picture, Kiara is holding a clapper board looking pretty in a white top and printed pants. She is seen wearing brown lenses.
The original series Kanchana was a blockbuster franchise in Tamil which featured Raghava Lawrence in the lead role. Touted to be a horror-thriller ‘Kanchana’ is a franchise of Muni and the latest one, ‘Kanchana 3’ features Raghava Lawrence, Vedhika and Oviya in other lead roles.
The makers are rumored to make an announcement soon.
On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan will also be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’ with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Akshay Kumar has Karan Johar’s ‘Good News’ co-starring Kareena Kapoor in his kitty. The movie also features Kiara Advani opposite Diljit Dosanjh.
