Amit Shah to visit Kerala today, will meet his ‘Lok Sabha Toli’
With eyes focused on 2019 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janta Party president Amit Shah will finish his first round-up of parliamentary constituencies by July 22. Meeting his “Lok Sabha Toli” – grassroot members and senior party members from the states – Shah will take a stock of the preparations, based on which final strategy of the party’s 2019 polls electoral strategy is expected to be prepared.
Shah has already accessed the newly formed teams – Lok Sabha Toli – in 18 parliamentary constituencies, and as per to his schedule, he will visit Kerala (Tuesday), with Uttar Pradesh visit has been kept for July 4 (Mirzapur) and July 5 (Agra) respectively.

In his scheduled visit today in Kerala, the sources say that the main agenda will be to take stock of poll preparations and work on the strategy to boost the party in the state. Shah in his visit will address the leaders from selected districts and attend the party’s core committee meeting. Also, accessing the performance of teams in Lakshadweep is on the cards.
In order to strengthen the party and network at the ground level, these ‘Tolis’ have been formed to co-ordinate and maintain good relations with opinion-makers, social media activists and intellectuals in their respective constituencies. The source added that Shah is personally monitoring and guiding teams, by keeping a tab on their activities and involvement and their outreach bids. based on the feedback he receives from his ‘Tolis’, final strategy for 2019 Lok Sabha polls will be prepared.
Adding more, the source said that not only the the special teams -‘Tolis’ – verify the list in every booth, but also, elect two dozen members from SC, ST and OBC communities. As per reports, booths will be the focus of the BJP’s election strategy and network of vistaraks.

According to the party sources, Shah has already covered reviewing 395 Lok Sabha constituencies, and will comlete the first round of taking stock with his visits to Maharashtra and Goa. The national president had already the preparations in states like Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal, Gujarat, Dadar Nagar Haveli and North Eastern states barring Assam.
Known for his meticulous planning before polls, the saffron party president had convened his ‘Tolis’ to focus on the preparations. Previously too, such active teams were made before polls, but this time Shah has named them ‘Tolis’ and co-ordinating with them personally.
