Amit Shah: Manohar Parrikar to continue as Goa CM, but cabinet will change
Ending the speculations of who will lead the Bharatiya Janata Party government in Goa, party president Amit Shah cleared that Manohar Parrikar will continue as Chief Minister. However, Shah signalled that there will be a reshuffle in his cabinet on Sunday.
Informing about the party decision, the national president of the ruling party took to Twitter and wrote, “It has been decided during a discussion with the Goa BJP core team that Manohar Parrikar will continue to lead the Goa government. There will soon be a reshuffle of ministers and their portfolios.”

The announcement comes as a relief to many of the BJP leaders who were in dilemma over the next change in the chief minister’s post, following the illness of Manohar Parrikar. Earlier this week, the senior party leaders also went to Goa to discuss the future strategy.
It is to be known that change in the cabinet was expected as Parrikar has been undergoing treatment at Delhi’s AIIMS. Citing his illness, Parrikar had asked Shah to take appropriate decision for the welfare of the state. Based on that, Shah spoke to Vijay Sardesai and a decision was made that minister Sudhin Dhavalikar would not become the deputy Chief Minister, as allies rejected the offer.
