Amit Shah: Come what may, NRC will not stop
Bharatiya Janata Party’s national president Amit Shah on Tuesday attacked the Congress party and its president Rahul Gandhi from their first election rally in Madhya Pradesh. Shah was of the opinion that Congress is dreaming of winning Assembly elections, but asked them on what basis they will seek votes!
Addressing the party workers at Karyakarta Mahakumbh in Jamboori Maidan in Bhopal, Shah took a jibe at the Congress by saying, “How will the party responsible for corruption, unable to take policy-related decisions and risking the security in the country will ask for votes from the people? Will the party (Congress) seek votes in the name of industrialists for they worked?”
Shah also took a jibe at the Congress president for dreaming to win Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. He said, “Rahul baba is dreaming to win elections in Madhya Pradesh. Its ok to dream, but how are you going to fulfil it?” Shah also alleged that the UPA government, led by Congress had an enmity with BJP-ruled states and that is why they have made Madhya Pradesh a sick state. But, he claimed that under the BJP tenure at Centre and Madhya Pradesh, the development has increased to multiple folds.
Reiterating party’s stance on the controversial National Registrar of Citizens (NRC), the BJP president said that the party will not deviate and will work in identifying the illegal immigrants in India. He said, “BJP’s prime priority is the security of India and not vote bank politics. Let the Congress work with their full force, the NRC process will not stop as it is a matter of nation’s development.”
Boasting about the works done by the BJP-led central government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said, “Under the leadership of PM Modi and Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the BJP has not done anything wrong which can shame the workers or the party. Today our worker can go to people with their heads held high.”
Shah claimed that 70 percent of the Indian geographical area is ruled by BJP and the government is working for the welfare of the people. He sought the help of party workers to make reach the party in every nook and corner of the state. He was also of the opinion that each member of the party (BJP) has the capability to defeat the Congress candidates.
Shah was addressing the rally just before the Assembly elections to be announced in the state, appealing the party workers to reach the voters with the welfare
