Amit Shah claims to sweep polls in Odisha
With both the Assembly and General election knocking door, Bharatiya Janta Party has switched its gear for the topmost. These days BJP national president Amit Shah is doing a one or two-day tour to states, where saffron flag is still unfurled. This time it was Odisha, where Shah wants to win 120 of 147 Assembly seats in the coming polls.
Shah was on a one-day tour to Odisha where, he met the party workers and repeated again that party leaders should aim for 120 of 147 assembly seats in the coming polls. Shah was present in Bhubaneswar to address panchayat-level Shakti Kendra committee heads and their deputies on Sunday. As over 2,400 committee heads and co-in-charges in Bhubaneswar attended his assembly, he was seen confident to sweep polls.

Tweeting about his experience, Shah wrote, “Addressed a meeting with Shakti Kendra in-charges and co-in-charges in Bhubaneswar (Odisha). With such energy and enthusiasm among @BJP4Odisha karyakartas, BJP is all set to sweep Odisha in 2019 under the leadership of PM Shri @narendramodi.”
Shah, who was in the state to take a stock of the party’s preparedness for the upcoming polls, held five back-to-back closed-door meetings with the grassroots workers and senior party functionaries of the Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Puri Lok Sabha constituencies. Informing about the minute details, senior party leader Surama Padhi said, “The party has been making sustained preparation for elections. The party president noted down feedback. Leaders also got to know what is expected of them”, reports The Hindu.

Earlier too, in the June end, Shah made a two-day visit to West Bengal and took a stock of the party’s preparedness. And as per his schedule, he will visit Uttar Pradesh on July 4-5, to address party workers.
