In a sudden move BJP national president Amit Shah called off his tour of Kurukshetra in Haryana. According to news agency ANI, Amit Shah was scheduled to inaugurate International Gita Mahotsav’s main phase which has a lot of importance in Haryana. The state is collaborating with Mauritius for the event this time.
Amit Shah is scheduled to meet party leaders in the national capital for a discussion on booth action plan for the party in the upcoming General Elections 2019. The meeting is taking place just after a couple of days the party lost to main rival Congress in three states — Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh — where the party was in power.
According to sources, the meeting is expected to last for seven hours where the national office-bearers, central leaders in charge of states, organisational secretaries and state chiefs will present reports. Everyone has been asked to prepare reports based on the 22-point directive that was meant for booth managers.
The party president who always insists on “winning election by winning booths” had dispatched 22-point programme to the group members and wanted to see how they were implemented at the ground level.
