Allu Arjun To Be Seen In Sriram Venu’s Next Film Icon

Telugu superstar Allu Arjun seems to have received the best birthday gift. Yes, Today Allu Arjun turned 37-year old and on the occasion of his birthday, Sri Venkateswara Creation took to Twitter and announced a new project starring Arjun in the lead role. The film has been titled as Icon.

The film Icon will be directed by Sriram Venu, who has earlier helmed several films including Middle-Class Abbayi (MCA) which featured Nani in a significant role. The entire cast of Icon is yet to be revealed. It is to be noted this would be Arya star’s fourth collaboration with Sri Venkateswara Creation.

Allu Arjun took his own sweet time to finalise his films after Naa Illu India failed to perform well at the box office India. There were rumours doing the rounds that he was in talks with ace filmmaker Vikram Kumar, who has films like 24, Hello, Ishq and Manam to his credit. However, the project did not come into effect for reasons best known to the filmmakers.

Apart from Icon, Allu Arjun has several films in his kitty including ace filmmakers Trivikram Srinivas and Sukumar. If anything to go by reports, he will begin shooting for his untitled film with Trivikram. The forthcoming film will be the actor-director duo’s third collaboration after hits like Julai (2012) and S/O Satyamurthy (2015).

After finishing Trivikram’s film, Allu Arjun is likely to join the sets of director Sukumar’s film in the second half of 2019.

Interestingly, Sukumar’s directorial debut Arya (2004), which was also written by him, gave the first solo break to Allu Arjun. Five years later, he did a sequel to the film, Arya 2, with Allu Arjun again, which turned out to be a blockbuster film.
