Just recently Indian government has imposed a complete ban on the usage of few mobile apps, including quite a few Chinese applications for alleged concerns of data security. The ban was imposed in two sets and around 200 apps were removed from Indian play store. According to the latest reports, the Chinese company Alibaba’s servers in India are stealing the data of Indian users and the officials to soon start the probe.
According to the media reports, the sources have identified that Indian consumer data which is reportedly going to China through 72 China servers located in India. Officials have apparently suspected that Alibaba (a Chinese e-commerce company) of smuggling Indian consumer information to its nation.
This disclosure by the intelligence agencies to News18 network comes close to yet another major investigation that exposed Chinese’s attempts to track and follow hundreds of Indian leaders and important officials using advanced technologies. The companies which are accused of having involved in stealing the Indian users data are allegedly deeply involved with the Chinese government.
