Alia Bhatt reacts to Kangana Ranaut’s comments calling her performance mediocre
Kangana Ranaut is hitting headlines with her fearless and bold comments. The ‘Queen’ star has been courting controversies with her bold opinion in public, about a number of things. Recently she took a jibe at Alia Bhatt for her performance in Zoya Akhtar’s blockbuster hit ‘Gully Boy‘. She called Alia’s performance as mediocre.
Speaking to Bollywood Life, Kangana had said that she finds a comparison between herself and Alia Bhatt embarrassing as she found Alia’s performance in ‘Gully Boy’ mediocre.
Kangana said, “I am embarrassed…What is there to beat in Gully Boy performance ….same snappy muh phat girl… Bollywood’s idea of a fiery girl, woman empowerment and good acting, spare me this embarrassment, please. Media have taken filmy kids love too far. Stop pampering mediocre work or else bar will never be raised.”
Alia Bhatt who is busy promoting her upcoming release ‘Kalank’ has finally reacted to Kangana’s comment.
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama Alia Bhatt said, “I respect Kangana’s work a lot and I respect her opinion. If she feels a particular way she must have reason to feel that way. I would rather remember how much she had praised me after watching ‘Raazi’. And I’d just like to focus on my work. Maybe she will appreciate me again if I work hard enough.”
On the work front, Alia has ‘Kalank’ featuring Varun Dhawan, ‘Brahmastra’ co-starring Ranbir Kapoor and ‘Takht’ with Ranveer Singh in her kitty.
Kangana Ranaut will soon be seen in ‘Mental Hai Kya’ and ‘Panga’ in her kitty.
