Bollywood actress, Alia Bhatt has been busy shooting for her upcoming film, Gangubai Kathiawadi in Mumbai. She has tested positive for Coronavirus and reveals that she ‘immediately isolated’ herself after the test results were out. Earlier it was Sanjay Leela Bhansali to test positive for COVID-19. Late night on Thursday, an official statement has been issued by the 28-year-old actress on her social media handles and it read that she is down with the infection.
Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram stories and shared the statement. “Hello all, I have tested positive for COVID-19. I have immediately isolated myself and will be under home quarantine. I am following all safety protocols under the advice of my doctors.” She also thanked all her well-wishers adding, “Grateful for all your love and support. Please stay safe and take care.”
For the unversed, Ranbir Kapoor who is said to have visited Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi set had also tested positive for Coronavirus. However, the star has now recovered well.
Talking about the total Coronavirus tally as of Friday i.e. April 2, India reported around 81,466 new Coronavirus cases, and 469 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per the date issued by the Union Health Ministry.
