In an interview, Alia Bhatt spoke about her investments, living on a budget, and much more.
In a recent interview, Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt has spoken about her investments, living on a budget, and how her financial planning indicates her attitude in real life.
In an interview with Economic Times’ Panache magazine, the Kalank actress has revealed that she believes in living on a budget and said, “I can live within a budget. I don’t spend that much. My chartered accountant often tells me, ‘Why don’t you spend more?””
Cherishing her youthful days, Alia Bhatt said, “I never bought expensive things as a teenager. I didn’t have the money.”
Talking about her first expensive purchase with her own money, she said, “The first expensive thing I bought (as a teenager) was with my own money – a Louis Vuitton bag. I splurge the most on bags. I love them. And gym clothes (laughs) I have every sort of track pant from Lululemon.”
The Raazi actress also said that she doesn’t know financial matters. The 26-year old actress quoted as saying, “I still don’t understand investing, but over the years, I’ve become keen to learn more. My home in Mumbai (Juhu, Mumbai) is the first property I bought. I invest in FDs and bonds. Mutual Funds are good, so I’ve been told.”
The actress also addressed how seriously she takes her holidays, she added, “I also splurge on holidays, but take one holiday a year — a New Year one. I spend on the destination and the hotel. I hate shopping when I’m on holiday.”
Lastly, Alia someday wishes to buy her own private jet and a home in the hills.“A private jet would be a luxury. I have chartered one before, but not for a holiday. A home in the mountains is a dream. I’ll fulfill it later in life. I had a dream to buy a house in London and I did in 2018. It’s in Covent Garden and my sister (Shaheen) lives there part-time.” she said.
On the professional front, Alia Bhatt will be next seen in movies like Gangubai Kathiawadi, Brahmastra, Sadak 2, RRR, and Takht.
