Earlier this week, the ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ director Ali Abbas Zafar tied the knot with his lady love Alicia Zafar in a low-key wedding. The director confirmed the news and shared the first picture of his wifey on his social media handle. Now, he opened up on his hush-hush wedding and spilled the beans on his love-story.
In an interview with Mid-day, the ‘Sultan’ director revealed that he got married at his Dehradun house, “She is from France, so the visas were initially posing a problem. As soon as she got the visa, we went to Dehradun and got married at home. It was always planned this way.”
Talking about his love-story, he revealed the first time he met Alicia, “She is a first-generation Iranian from France. I had gone there for work and immediately fell in love with her. I pursued her for almost two years, convincing her that I am the man who will keep her happy. It has been a difficult task, but I am glad she finally agreed.”
Finally, the ‘Bharat’ director spoke about his honeymoon plans and said, that his plans will have to take a halt due to his hectic schedule, as he plans to start shooting soon, and has back-to-back shoots lined up this year.
He shared the first of his wedding on Monday and captioned it as: “Bismillah.”
On the work front, Ali is all set to mark his digital debut with Amazon Prime Video web series ‘Tandav,’ which also stars Saif Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia, and others. It is set to release on January 15, 2021.
