Thalaivi director AL Vijay and his wife Aishwarya have been blessed with a baby boy on May 30. The joyful news was confirmed by AL Vijay’s brother, Udhaya, who is also an actor. He shared the news on Twitter and expressed his happiness. He wrote, “Yes..IAM A PERIYAPPA now..Brother Director VIJAY And AISHWARYA VIJAY blessed with baby boy at 11.25am …Happppyyyyyyyy….Soooo happpy….”

He was not the only one wishing his best to the new parents. Social media soon saw a barrage of congratulatory messages for AL Vijay and Aishwarya.
The couple had tied the knot in July 2019 in a private ceremony. This was the second marriage for AL Vijay who was previously married to actor Amala Paul. They had gotten married in 2014 but got divorced three years later. The two seem to share a good relationship though. On learning about Vijay’s second marriage, Amala had extended her good wishes.
“Vijay is a very sweet man. A fantastic human. I wholeheartedly wish him a happy married life and wish the couple lots of babies.”
AL Vijay had shared the news of his second marriage by issuing a statement.
“I am happy to announce my wedding with DR. R. Aishwarya. It’s an arranged marriage and going to be a private ceremony which will be held in July 2019. With all your love and blessings, I am embarking on a new chapter of life!”
AL Vijay has previously directed films like Watchman and Devi 2. He is directing his upcoming film Thalaivi which is the biopic of former Tamil Nadu chief minister Jayalalithaa. It stars Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut in the lead role.
